Who processes your data
GEMZ – Barthelemy Cyril is the data controller for personal data collected through OwnMyBio. You can reach us at ownmybio@proton.me for any privacy request.
Data we collect
Account information (email, role), profile information you provide (creator/brand details), campaign content, and anonymized usage analytics (page views, clicks, referrer, approximate device category). We do not store raw IP addresses in our analytics tables.
Why we process it and on what basis
To operate your account and campaigns (performance of a contract), to send you transactional emails about bookings and payments (performance of a contract), to prevent fraud and enforce the Prohibited Content Policy (legitimate interest), and to comply with tax and accounting obligations where applicable (legal obligation).
Analytics
Public page views and CTA clicks are tracked with an anonymized session identifier stored in your browser session, not tied to your real identity unless you are logged in and viewing your own dashboard.
Payments
Payment details are handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor. OwnMyBio never stores raw card numbers.
Sharing
We share campaign participant information only between the creator and brand on that specific campaign, with Stripe as needed to process payments and payouts, with Resend as needed to deliver transactional emails, and with OwnMyBio administrators for trust & safety and payout review. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Account and campaign data is kept for as long as your account is active, and for up to 5 years afterward where needed for accounting, tax, or fraud-prevention records, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact ownmybio@proton.me. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
